A stylistically unique Band from day one, the members of Thrown To The Wolves have been performing and playing in sync as if they’d been together their entire musical careers. Throughout the course of the band’s union, they have won over the hearts of music lovers from all walks of life; Their signature style has become synonymous with a diverse collection of melodies and compositions. The duo is on the rise, and nothing can stop them from achieving the success they work so hard for.
About The Band
A stylistically unique band from day one, the members of Thrown To The Wolves have been performing and playing in sync as if they’d been collaborating together their entire musical careers. Throughout the course of the band’s union, they have won over the hearts of music lovers from all walks of life; their signature style has become synonymous with a diverse collection of melodies and compositions.
Freak and JD met in 2019 at an open mic that JD and his father were hosting at Newport Center, Vermont's Kingdom Brewery. Though it wasn't until a couple of weeks later that they decided to meet up and play a few songs.
Only having played together a handful of times, the two soon went on to play their first gig as a duo. On the lineup alongside some reputable local bands such as The Blind Owl Band and Folk Faces, the two took the stage at Upstate New York festival, The Family Hoedown.
Since that day, they have continued to grow their fan base as well as release a full-length album and a riveting single. The duo is on the rise, and nothing can stop them from achieving the success they continue to work so hard for.

A Walking Contradiction
The voice behind Thrown To The Wolves' raw and captivating sound, Freak was born in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. One of seven siblings, the step-son of a pastor, Freak did not have a musical upbringing; which makes his passion and talent all the more captivating.
First picking up a guitar at 35 years old, music quickly became his way of life. He started playing around at local open mics which is where he ultimately met his fiddle player, JD TwoStrings.
Referring to himself as "a walking contradiction", Freak likes to shatter stereotypes surrounding his appearance, and be a reminder that, just as in "Through The Looking Glass" teaches, things are not always as they seem".

Savagely Passionate...
JD, the driving force behind the band's soul-stirring sounds of the fiddle, was born in Frankfurt, Germany where his father was serving in the US Armed Forces.
One of ten siblings, JD grew up in a musically adept family. JD knew he wanted to be a musician from the age of 8 when his grandfather first started teaching him how to play the fiddle.
Finding another person that shared the same passion for music as himself proved to be difficult until he met Freak. His love and passion for music is clearly displayed while on stage. The intensity and energy emitted with every stroke of the bow across the strings is enough to cause you to get lost in his every emotion.
